Cherry Blossoms at Nakamise Street




Nakamise street is the approach from Kaminarimon gate to Hozomon gate of Semsoji temple.
When I visited there yesterday, those blossoms were just before full bloom.

Okame-zakura Cherry Blossoms along Ajisai Street, Nihonbashi



There is a back street named Ajisai-dori Street in Nihonbashi.
Okame-zakura is a variety of early-blooming cherry blossoms tree.
They planted 26 Okame-zakura cherry trees along the street in 2006.
Now, the rows of the trees continue about 700 meters.

Kawazu-zakura Cherry Blossoms and Tokyo Skytree



There are two Kawazu-zakura cherry trees by a small bridge which is near Tokyo Skytree station.
Kawazu-zakura is a variety of early-blooming cherry blossoms.
Those blossoms got in full bloom earlier than I expected, because this winter is warmer than usual.

Early-blooming Cherry Blossoms at Ebara Shrine



Ebara shrine is a Shinto shrine located Kita-Shinagawa, Shinagawa-ward.
Two Hikan-zakura, a variety of early-blooming cherry tree, are planted at the shrine.
When I visited there yesterday, those were almost in full bloom.

Kaizando Ryodaishi in Cherry Blossom Time







Kaizando Ryodaishi is a Buddhist temple which is next to Tokyo National Museum located in Ueno park, and it was a part of Kaneiji temple.

In cherry blossom viewing time, Ueno park is very crowded, but that temple is calm.

Black Gate and Cherry Blossoms





This historical wooden gate is an outdoor exhibition of Tokyo National Museum, Ueno park.
I have already shown you this gate as an article,"Kuromon Gate",in this blog.
I captured the gate again, because the cherry blossoms by the gate were so beautiful.

Cherry blossoms at Tokyo National Museum's Garden







There is a large garden behind the main building of Tokyo National Museum.
The garden is open to public during the cherry blossoms viewing season and autumn leaves season.
Ten varieties of cherry trees are planted in the garden.
It is calm in the garden, you can enjoy cherry blossom viewing in a relaxed mood.

Cherry Blossoms at Kanda Myojin






Kanda Myojin Shrine is a historical shrine located on Sotokanada, Chiyoda Ward.
I think this shrine is a little known good place for viewing cherry blossoms.
Although there are only 10 cherry trees, those blossoms match well with beautiful architectures in the shrine.

Chidorigafuchi Moat after Rain




Chidorigafuchi Moat is one of the most popular cherry blossoms viewing spot in Tokyo.
When I got there early in the morning, although it had already stopped raining, the sky was still grey and it wasn't good condition for viewing cherry blossoms.
However, I felt different beauty of the blossoms in the calm atmosphere.

Cherry Blossoms along the Promenade through Shinobazu Pond




Shinobazu pond, Ueno park.
Shinobazu pond is divided into three parts by this path.
Yesterday, I strolled on the promenade viewing cherry blossoms.
Those cherry blossoms were just before full bloom.
It was Tuesday morning, and it was less crowded than I had anticipated.

Yaezakura and Clouds



Yaezakura is a general term of cherry blossoms which have multi-layered petals.
That cherry blossom is a type of Yaezakura called "Kanzan".

Yasukuni shrine is one of the most popular cherry blossoms viewing spot in Tokyo,
This garden is located behind the maine hall of the shrine.
Although so many people visited the shrine to view cherry blossoms, the garden is calm.
