Kinshi Park in Autumn





Kinshi park is a public park established by Sumida ward, and it is located close to JR Kinshicyo station.

When I visited there, those cherry trees and ginkgo trees had autumn leaves.

You can see Tokyo Sky Tree from the park.

Hibiya park has two open-air concert hall, and this is the smaller one.
You can see a fountain over the stage.

Greenery in Shinjyuku Centralpark




Shinjyuku central park is a huge public park located in the western Shinjyuku high-rise buildings area, and it has a lot of greenery.

Shinji-ike Pond in Winter





Views of Shinji-ike pond, Hibiya park.
In winter, you can see conical structures which rise above the pine trees around the pond.
They are protections for the tree brunches from breaking under the weight of the snow.

Tunnel of Japanese Bush Clover at Mukojima Hyakkaen Gardens




Mukojima Hyakkaen is a Tokyo metropolitan garden located in Higashi-mukojima, Sumida ward.
The word "Hyakkaen" literally means a garden with one hundred flowers.
I went to the garden to enjoy autumn flowers three days before.
When I visited there, the most popular spot at the garden was the tunnel of Japanese bush clover.

There is a replica of The Capitoline Wolf in Hibiya park.
It was donated by Rome to Tokyo in 1939.

This pond is located in southwest part of Hibiya park.
When I visit there, those trees around the pond had beautiful young leaves.

Kaizando Ryodaishi in Cherry Blossom Time







Kaizando Ryodaishi is a Buddhist temple which is next to Tokyo National Museum located in Ueno park, and it was a part of Kaneiji temple.

In cherry blossom viewing time, Ueno park is very crowded, but that temple is calm.

Atmospheric Wooden Architecture at Kiyosumi Gardens




A traditional Japanese style  architecture projecting into the pond located on the center of the garden.
It was built in 1909 and renovated in 1985.
It is a symbolic architecture of the garden and used as a meeting space.

Stepping Stone Pathway in the Pond




There are stepping stone pathways across shallow parts of the pond at Kiyosumi gardens which is a Japanese-style garden located in Koto ward.
You can enjoy view of the pond from the pathways.

Kiyosumi Gardens






Kiyosumi Gardens is a Japanese-style garden located in Koto ward.
A beautiful pond located on the center of the garden occupy large portion of the garden.
The garden is rich in nature, and many rare stones gathered from all over Japan are arranged in the garden.

Japanese Wax Tree at Kiyosumi Gardens



I took this photo five days ago.
Usually, color of leaves on that tree change to deep red in middle of November, but some green leaves still remained on that time.
I suppose it was affected by big typhoons visited here in Tokyo in this summer.

Monster Stone Lantern in Ueno Park




A huge stone lantern standing near Ueno Toshogu shrine in Ueno park.
It is around 6 meters tall, and called "OBAKE TORO (monster lantern)", because of its hugeness.

Japanese Style Garden Pond at Hibiya Park




This is a pond called Shinji-ike.
Hibiya park was created as a western style park, but the pond and the surroundings are designed as Japanese traditional style garden.

This pond was used to be a part of one of moats of Edo castle.
You can see stone walls on the side of the pond.

Fujimi Turret




Views of the Fujimi turret from the East Gardens of the Imperial Palace.
Fujimi turret is one of the three existing turret of former Edo castle.

They developed a small square just near the turret in 2016, and you can see the turret up close.

Ninomaru Pond in Early May




The Pond at the Ninomaru Garden in the East Gardens of the Imperial Palace.
Hyacinth orchids by the pond are in bloom, and the aquatic plants on the water have started producing tiny yellow flowers.

Cherry blossoms at Tokyo National Museum's Garden







There is a large garden behind the main building of Tokyo National Museum.
The garden is open to public during the cherry blossoms viewing season and autumn leaves season.
Ten varieties of cherry trees are planted in the garden.
It is calm in the garden, you can enjoy cherry blossom viewing in a relaxed mood.
